Addiction, trauma, prison, motherhood, and second chances.

In this episode of Oklahoma City Nonprofits in Action, we sit down with Erin Engelke, CEO of ReMerge, to talk about how their organization is transforming the lives of mothers across Oklahoma through healing, accountability, recovery, and community support.

ReMerge serves as an alternative to prison for mothers facing addiction and criminal charges, helping women rebuild their lives through therapy, education, life skills, recovery programs, employment training, and reunification with their children.

We also hear the powerful story of Joy, a ReMerge graduate who overcame addiction, reunited with her children, and now works at Remerge helping other women find healing and hope.

Topics in this episode include:

Addiction recovery
Trauma healing
Prison reform
Women’s recovery programs
Motherhood and reunification
Oklahoma City nonprofits
Criminal justice alternatives
Community transformation
Sobriety and second chances
