What does it look like to help someone rebuild their life—not just meet their immediate needs?
In this episode of Oklahoma City Nonprofits in Action, we chat with Patrick Raglow, Executive Director of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City, as he prepares to retire after nearly 15 years of leadership.
Patrick shares the story of a woman who escaped an abusive situation only to find herself experiencing homelessness. Through Catholic Charities' Sanctuary Women's Development Center, she found more than food, clothing, and a shower. She found a place where she was known by name, felt safe, rebuilt trust, found employment, and eventually moved into a home of her own.
We also explore the wide-ranging work of Catholic Charities across Central and Western Oklahoma, including:
